Making a Difference: Part two

Today I will continue a series I started yesterday. If you haven't already read part one, check it out here: https://miribrooks1.wixsite.com/quoted/post/making-a-difference-part-one

2. Be yourself and don't compare yourself to others.

I don't see how you can make a difference in this world when you're listening to the world. What I mean is, the world gave body image and comparison a name, and we're just choosing to listen to those things. I like to remind you that you always have a choice, and that choice will probably end up affecting your future. So, if you're spending all your time, or most of it comparing yourself to others, what else can you focus on? That's why we need to drop comparison. We aren't perfect, so we can't just say, "Comparison, be gone!" No, things don't work that way, but thank goodness we have God on our side! Ask God to help you with your struggles on comparing yourself to others, and trying to be someone you aren't. Ask God to help you feel comfortable with who you were created to be, and learn to love yourself!

Once you have asked God to help you with those struggles, you can then move on to another way you can make a difference. That other way is sharing with other girls and maybe even boys who struggle with their image, and letting them know that they are loved, and God created them for a purpose. Everyone God created is beautiful, and unique! Every single one of us are God's masterpieces, and I think it's always great to remind others of this! So, your challenge for the rest of this week is to not only love and be kind to others, but also to let others know how beautiful they are! It could just be a simple compliment like, "I love your hair today!" or, "Great outfit!" Make others feel confident in themselves! Let's spread love to everyone God created, and let them know they are His creation, His MASTERPIECE!!

So far, you can make a difference by being kind to, and loving others, and letting others know they shouldn't compare themselves to others, and they should just be themselves! Let's spread God's undying love to everyone!

"Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious." -1 Peter 3:3-4

You are amazing! Have a great day, and make sure to come back tomorrow for the next part to this series! ~Ella
