Our world is so different today compared to when Jesus was walking around on earth healing people and forgiving them of their sins. Today, I'm going to write about a couple topics of things we can do to make a difference in our society. I'm only looking at making a positive change for society, so we aren't going down the road of negativity. Read each point, and think about how you can make a difference!
1. It all starts with being kind and showing love to one another.
If you were to think about the world being without sin, and having no hurt or pain, you might think about everyone being kind and loving to one another, right? That's what I think about when I think of a perfect world.
It's super important to be kind, and loving towards your neighbors. When you are mean towards someone, you're only spreading a negative attitude, and I don't know about you, but I would much rather prefer everyone being nice to one another, than everyone being mean to one another all the time. I would rather live in a world where everyone says, "Excuse me," or, "Please, and thank you," then vice versa.
Jesus demonstrated his kindness towards people while he was on earth by healing the sick, and helping the poor. He also forgave people of their sins, and baptized many. I really love when the woman who had been subject to bleeding came up and touched Jesus, and was healed. (Read Matthew 9:18-22) This woman was not at all afraid to come up and touch Jesus, but she wanted to be healed, and trusted that Jesus would heal her. Jesus showed his love towards this woman, and because of her faith, healed her. This is also an example of actions speaking louder than words, but right now I just want to focus on being kind and loving one another.
Think of how many people you could make smile, and feel better about themselves by being kind! Hating others and being mean to others should have never been a thing, and I hope we can all learn to love each other, and not judge each other one day.
This week, focus on being kind to those around you, even your siblings, and learn to love everyone, no matter what!
"When given the choice between being right, and being kind, choose kind." -Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
