Loving One Another Day by Day part 1

In this little Bible study series, you will be reading all about how to love one another and be thankful for the people God has placed in your life. We are all human, and we all make mistakes. But our mistakes can be used to learn, and we can learn how to deal with certain situations in the future.

Bible Verse of the Day:

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” -John 13:34-35

I love the Bible verse above because it reminds us to love one another because we are God's disciples, and He has loved us since the very beginning. We need to give Him our love in return!

The moment that you stop holding grudges, and stop saying that you hate one another, is the moment you will have finally learned to love. But remember, no one is perfect, and it is impossible to stop holding grudges, and stop saying that you hate one another at times.

The first step of having love for one another is to get rid of all your grudges, and get rid of all your hate. So, let's begin by thinking of whomever has made us mad this past week. Who has been the person that you don't like? There's always going to be someone in life that might get on your nerves, or make you really mad, or maybe even just be mean to you. So, who would you say that you hate, or are holding a grudge against right now?

Now, I know the word hate is a strong word, but I'm using it simply because everyone uses it. Everyone hates someone, even if they say they dislike someone instead. It's still hate.

Think about your answer to the question I just asked, and keep that person or people in your mind. Think about what made you decide that you didn't like that person. Think about why you are holding a grudge, or bullying, or hating that person.

Now, consider why this person is making you want to hate them. Figure out why they could be annoying you, and bothering you. Maybe it's that this person has something going on in their life, and they feel like tearing others down. Next, I'm going to write about releasing the hate, and starting to love.

CHALLENGE FOR YOU: Think about why you would hate someone, and figure out how to release that hate and turn it into love.

Here's the question of the day: Why do we hate?

(The idea for this series came from the new God's Girls episode from yesterday! By now I'm sure everyone reading already knows about God's Girls, but if you don't, check out my other post on God's Girls: https://miribrooks1.wixsite.com/quoted/post/quoted-a-back-to-school-series-by-god-s-girls

Have a great day everyone! ~Ella
