"And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed." -Mark 1:35
Recently, I've felt like I needed to spend more time with God. I'm sure we have all felt like this at one point in our lives. The world is just so consuming, and sometimes it's hard to remember to take time for Jesus.
I can not tell you how many times the past couple of days I've seen reminders to take time for Jesus! It's kinda crazy, but honestly makes sense. I've seen reminders from my devotions, podcasts, and probably other things too.
If you feel you need to spend time with God, how do you do that?
Last night, I was reading Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, and the devotional was about....can you guess? Spending time with God! It was called "Shine," and I'm going to share a quote with you that really stood out to me from it.

So beautiful, isn't it? God understands when we don't spend time with Him, but He wants us to spend time with Him.
Another book I've been reading is All Caps You by Emma Mae Jenkins, and I was reading that the other day as well. The chapter I was on was about dropping everything to sit with Jesus. I have another quote to share (lol)!
This quote is from the chapter in Emma's book called "Well Rested."

It sounds so peaceful to go sit outside in nature, and dwell in His presence. I tried to do that yesterday...and haha...it doesn't look very beautiful outside right now. The grass is dead, it's cold outside.
The good thing is, no matter where you are, you can praise the Lord!
So, what's next? I'll tell you what's next! It's time to praise the Lord!! No matter where you are right now, find a way to dwell in His presence. Use the quotes above to give you some ideas, and just go spend some time with Him.
"Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!"
-1 Chronicles 16:11
