Chapter six:
“Everyone has been wondering who ‘The Messengers’ are lately, and I just wanted to say that it doesn’t matter who they are. What’s really important is that they are spreading the joy of Christmas. I don’t think ‘The Messengers’ want a reward for their good deeds, but a bunch of people coming together, and celebrating the birth of Christ Jesus as one,” Kate smiled as she delivered her Christmas speech for the whole school. Then, she continued, “We are called to love one another. Christmas is a time to remember why we love one another, and why we are here. We are here to celebrate Jesus’ birth and follow God’s Word. I just wanted to let you all know that even though ‘The Messengers’ wish to be kept anonymous, you can still reward them for what they are doing. The only way you can repay kindness is with kindness, so this Christmas, be kind. Show love to others, and be a ‘messenger’ of God’s Word. With all that being said, God bless!” Kate walked slowly off the stage, and fell into Parker’s embrace. Spreading joy as a ‘messenger’ of Christ was the best feeling she had ever felt.
Well, that was the last chapter of The Messengers. A lovely Christmas story all about two kids who find ways to spread joy during the Christmas season.
Here are some other ways you can spread joy this season...
write positive things on sticky notes with the #randomactsofkindness and stick them on cars
pay for the person behind you in the drive-thru
make goody bags, or a basket full of things that would be good for homeless people to use
donate old clothes and toys you don't need
give someone at a restaurant or drive-thru an extra tip
Try doing one thing on that list, or find some other ways to spread kindness this Christmas season! I hope you have been enjoying blogmas! There are only two more days left! ~Ella
