The Girl Who Believes in Miracles // a movie review

Hey everyone! Hope you're doing well! Have you listened to the second episode to season three of my podcast yet? If not, go listen after you read this post! You can listen here: https://anchor.fm/ella-catherine

Now, time to write my thoughts on the movie The Girl Who Believes in Miracles.

As soon as I saw the trailer to this movie, I wanted to watch it. I love Christian/faith-based movies, and I feel like there just isn't enough good, appropriate movies.

Every year, I like to think of what my favorite movie I watched was. In 2020, I'm Not Ashamed was my favorite movie. This year, I thought A Week Away was my favorite movie, but when I heard about this new movie, I knew A Week Away might have a competitor.

So, I was watching Kesley Leroy's new video a couple days ago, and she said the movie was not in theaters anymore, and of course, I was excited about that! I have been waiting for the movie to be on Amazon Prime, or Google TV for several weeks.

I watched the movie last week, and here are my thoughts...

I really liked it! It was a really good movie, and I highly recommend it! Now, if you have never heard of this movie, and are confused...I'm going to find an explanation of what it's about because I'm bad at explaining things. "When young Sara hears a preacher say faith can move mountains, she starts praying. Suddenly, people in her town are mysteriously healed -- but fame soon takes its toll." I will link where I found this movie explanation at the end of the blog post.

I'm trying to decide what I would rank this movie. I love how the main character, Sara, trusted in God so much. However, now-a-days, I feel like we don't see so many miracles happen as what happened in the movie. But, God is very mysterious, so you never know what He might have planned for your life. So, I think that it is still good even with that factor.

Also, I kind of laughed at the end (spoiler alert!!) when they saw God on the water. You could just tell that it was edited, and I thought it was funny watching the actor's faces.

All of the actors were really good, and I think I would rate this movie a 9/10. Let me know in the comments if you've watched it, and what you would rate it!

I don't think that I can decide if this movie, or A Week Away was better because both movies are different in their own way. For one, A Week Away is a musical, and the plot is completely different, which makes sense. And, The Girl Who Believes in Miracles was more spiritual, and a little more religious.

Please go watch the movies I mentioned! I hope you liked hearing my view on the movie. I know this was a short blog post, but that's alright. More exciting blog posts are to come, don't worry! ~Ella
