Rivalry Doesn't Get You ANYWHERE

Rivalry means you are against someone, or maybe something. It means you don't have unity with others and you disagree with a lot of things. Let me just say that rivalry does not get you anywhere! We are unique, created by God to do good works, that God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10) But when you look around at the world, do you see a lot of divided people? Some are fighting peacefully for what they believe in, and some have started to violently fight for what they believe in.

About two months ago, I wrote a post on this blog called "Why I Believe In What I Believe In," and it got several views. Twenty-five people read it, and that's a lot of views for a blog that not many people know about. In that post, I wrote about why I'm a Christian, and why I believe in God. If you haven't already read that post, you can read it here: https://miribrooks1.wixsite.com/quoted/post/why-i-believe-in-what-i-believe-in

I'm mentioning that post right now because it explains my belief's, and I gave examples of other religions people believe in such as Atheism, and Judaism. If you search up different religions on Google, you will get a full list of answers. There are just so many people in this world, and everyone believes different things.

Now it's time to get to the reason I'm writing this blog post. Rivalry doesn't get you anywhere, but unity does. I believe that we can all be better than we are right now, and we don't have to fight one another, and start violence to get what we want.

This world is not perfect, we all know that, but have we ever thought of how we could make it better? Unity could make this world better, but so could following God, and spreading His Word all around.

What I'm trying to point out is that unity is important. I wrote about it in another blog post: https://miribrooks1.wixsite.com/quoted/post/come-together-in-unity

With the whole crazy election going on, I feel like we are more spread apart than ever. People are cheating just so the President they want to win will win. We vote because we have a choice, and are free people. We are allowed to be a part of the decision of who will be the President of the U.S.

Sometimes we get spread apart by the world, and I feel that we should come together. We should learn to love one another, and treat each other the way we want to be treated. The election is not the only thing that is spreading us apart. We are letting the fact that we all believe in different things spread us apart.

I wish that everyone knew God and wanted to follow Him, but I know why everyone doesn't know and follow Him. I know He has a plan for those who know Him, and those who don't. I feel like we are dividing ourselves based on race, religion, and politics.

During this time more than ever, we need to be UNIFIED. We need to treat each other with respect and kindness. We need to strive to help the world become a better place. Most importantly, we need to let God lead our lives! We are not capable of doing everything on our own. We just are not.

Trust God, and let Him lead your life. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another just as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32) Don't act differently towards people or judge people just because of their race, ethnicity, religion, and beliefs. Be kind to everyone, even if they get on your last nerve, or hurt you.

We aren't perfect, and we can't do everything perfectly, but we CAN change the way we act towards one another. We have the choice to choose kindness.

“When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind.”

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Everything I wrote today came from the heart. I did not expect to pour all of that out like I did. I hope you get the point of this blog post, and understand that you DO have the choice to be kind, and humble towards one another. Don't be divided! Love one another just as God loves you! Thank you for reading! God bless! ~Ella
