I'm starting my own Bible study on this blog, so get ready! I will probably post a new study every other day. Anyway, today I'm writing about redemption. I'm currently listening to the Whoa That's Good podcast by Sadie Robertson. I get so many ideas of what to write about throughout things that I read, listen to, and see in life. Everything around me is a potential blog post.
Redemption. Raise your hand if you don't know what that word means. I feel like not very many people know what this word means. So, I'm looking up the definition on dictionary.com.
The link is above this, and if you want to see the definition there you go!
The word 'redemption' means: deliverance; rescue. I'm always going to ask this, but what do you think of when you see that word? Do you think of being saved? Who is saving you? Is it superman or Jesus? Do you think of something in the world saving you, or Jesus saving you?
Redemption might also make you think of more than just being rescued. What about being saved from sin? Jesus gave his life for us, and would you give your life for him? That thought makes me think of the movie I'm Not Ashamed. I write more about that movie in my book, so you'll have to buy it to read more. (Btw when you're reading this, I finished writing my book!) In the movie, Rachel says, "Jesus gave his life for me, and I'll give my life to him." I love that! Those are definitely very powerful words. Please go watch the movie because it has such a sad, but powerful meaning. What Rachel did for God took a lot of courage, and I admire her for that. She could have easily denied ever loving Jesus, and you might have gotten to meet her one day. (Watch the movie or read about her story to learn more.)
When I think about denial, it makes me think about when Peter denied that he knew Jesus three times. I'm getting way off topic, but it's okay.
Thank God for sending his son to die for you today! Today I want to share a prayer request that I have: one of my friends has a huge decision to make about something that will have a big impact on her life. Please pray with me that God will help her make the right decision.
It means a lot to me that you took time out of your day to read this. I hope you're as excited as I am about my book! I hope I can get it edited and published very soon, but I don't know how that will work yet. Always trust God for He has a plan for your future.

Tomorrow I will be posting the second day for this Bible study! I would love it if you read along each day!
