my top 10 songs of 2021 you need to listen to

Welcome to a new blog post! Today I just wanted to share some really good songs you should listen to! Some of these you might already be expecting to see, but some might be a surprise. I usually don't branch out with music, and listen to the same songs a lot, but recently I have found some new songs I'm enjoying. Let's begin!

10. apocalipsis by Isabela Merced

I chose this song as number ten because I feel like it's a good song, but I just don't listen to it that often for it to be further up on the list.

9. Oldest Teenager by Lexi Jayde

This is such an amazing song! Seriously though!

8. Goodbye by Annie Rose

This song is so good! I still haven't decided if it's my favorite song by Annie Rose yet or not. When I was talking to her on Zoom the other day, she actually said this wasn't her favorite song she has ever written. I found it surprising when she said her favorite song was I Think You're Lying. All of her songs are so good, and I just can't decide which is my favorite! Another reason why this is at number eight is because mostly I have heard this song so many times, and one time I even made a music video to it with a friend. Honestly, I feel like this song should be number one on this list!

7. Hold On by Chord Overstreet

The first time I listened to this song was on The Vampire Diaries. I love the scene it is used in, and I think it's a sad, but very emotional song! It's beautiful. I just found this TVD picture I added above.

6. Roommates by Dixie D'Amelio

This is Dixie's second most recent song, and I have just begun listening to it more. It's actually a pretty good song, though I think it's also kind of weird. I feel like the idea of writing a song about roommates is silly, but no hate here. I like this song!

5. Cardigan by Taylor Swift

I put this song at number five because I feel like it's a more popular one right now. I haven't listened to it much, but I thought it needed to be a part of this list.

4. Bitter by Dylan Conrique (ft. Noak Hellsing)

This song....! Oh my goodness! It's so good!

3. Common Sense by Joshua Bassett

This is probably my favorite song by Joshua Bassett. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Lie Lie Lie, so this has got to be number three.

2. drivers license by Olivia Rodrigo

Okay, so I know everyone who knows this song probably thought it would be number one. But, I have listened to this song so many times, and played it on the piano a lot. I really feel like this has got to be at number two. (Also, go check out my piano cover of this song: https://miribrooks1.wixsite.com/quoted/post/drivers-license----a-piano-cover)

1. Skin by Sabrina Carpenter

Yes, this is my top song! Skin is Sabrina Carpenter's new song, and I love listening to it.

So, those are my top ten songs of the year. All pictures are from Pinterest, and I do not own any of them. One day, I will most likely to a Christian version of my top songs, so get excited for that! (And please be excited for my upcoming piano covers! I'm working on learning some super fun songs!) That's all! ~Ella
