it's not a big deal until you make it a big deal

Hey everyone! To be honest, I have had trouble deciding what to write about for today's blog post. I've found myself closer to the piano than writing lately, and haven't had any inspiration for writing. Although, I was able to start (hopefully) my second book!

So, I have no idea if this is an important enough topic to interest anyone, but I'm going to be writing about the fact that nothing is a big deal until you make it a big deal today. Just keep reading and you'll understand what I mean by the title.

It's not a big deal until you make it a big deal. This can go along with being afraid, getting angry about something, worrying about something. There might even be some more things this topic can go along with, but I'm going to be writing about those three today.

  1. Being afraid

I don't like horror movies. At all. The closest I've been to watching a horror movie was watching the shows Goosebumps, R.L. Stine, and Spooksville. Oh, and watching The Hiding Place.

So, I avoid horror movies, but that's not to say that I don't still get scared of things every once and a while. Every one is scared of something every once in a while.

Do you want to know how to stop being afraid of things? Isaiah 35:4 says, "...say to those with fearful hearts, 'Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.'"

If you want to stop being afraid of things, remind yourself that you are not alone. God is with you and will always be with you. Also, don't make your fears a big deal. When you make them a big deal, and convince yourself that you are afraid, you will be afraid. If you stop thinking about your fears so much, they won't be a big deal. If you make it a big deal, it doesn't help you.

So, face your fears by being reminded that God will always be on your side, and you don't have to be afraid. If you constantly think of what you are afraid of, it won't help anything. It's really simple, actually.

2. Getting angry about anything

If you've read past blog posts of mine, you would know that I'm always trying to encourage you to be kind to others, and love others. Getting angry over things isn't always the right way to handle a situation.

Sometimes, people can get angry about something for no reason. I've done that before, and I'm sure you have too. Everyone has.

But, all I need to write is that it's not a big deal until you make it a big deal!

3. Worries

I understand that worries can also have to do with being afraid. I feel like being worried is a little different from being afraid, though.

I'm sure we have all worried about things. When I find myself worrying about things, I always like to talk to God about my worries because it makes me feel better. When you are worried, trust in God, and remember that everything is going to be okay. There is no need to worry about anything when God is in control.

And, I've often realized that I sometimes worry for no reason at all. Again, because it's not a big deal until you make it a big deal.

I know today's blog post was kind of weird, but I don't know, I just felt like I should write about this subject today. Coming Tuesday, a piano cover that I'm so excited for you to listen to! Thanks for reading! ~Ella
