Hey there and welcome back to my blog! As I do every month, I'm going to share with you every book I read in March.
This was a pretty good reading month! I read a few more books this month because of Spring Break, and I'm excited to share them with you! Let's get into it...
In March, I read 8 books.
1. The Truth and Lies of Ella Black: written by Emily Barr- finished March 2nd
I found this book when I was looking up my own book one time, and I decided to buy it just because it had my name in the title.
I was very unsure if I would like this book at first, but I ended up giving three stars on Goodreads. It was okay, but I didn't really like the main character all that much. So, yeah...
2. It Ends With Us: written by Colleen Hoover- finished March 6th
So, this was my first ever Colleen Hoover book. And if you didn't know, Colleen's books are pretty popular right now.
I read this book with Nicole Laeno's book club Shelf Love which is on the Literati app. And, I wanted to know what all the hype was about when it came to Colleen Hoover books. So, I read it, and I didn't really like it. I didn't really like it because it's more of an adult book...so anyway, it did have a good theme in it. The whole book was basically about something that people around the world probably go through. You'll have to look it up and read more about it to see what I'm talking about.
3. 14 Ways To Die: written by Vincent Ralph- finished March 8th
This book was really good! I really liked how there were shorter chapters because it made it an easy read.
I actually found another book by Vincent Ralph at the book store the other day, and it looked so good that I added it to my tbr list.
4. The Wrap-Up List: written by Steven Arntson- finished March 12th
I got this book at Thrifty Peanut one day, and it was kinda a random purchase because I was trying to find a book to buy, and I ended up with this one.
It really wasn't my favorite book in the whole wide world, but for the most part, it was interesting. (I'm sorry I'm not explaining what each book is about. If you want to know more about these books you can Google them!!)
5. The Inheritance Games: written by Jennifer Lynn Barnes- finished March 16th
This is one of the many books I feel like I keep hearing about. I think Haley Pham read it, and then I saw Destiny Sidwell read it. (Those are YouTuber's btw.)
And I was thinking about reading it, but it wasn't until I went to Barnes and Noble looking for a different book that I decided to get this one. (I didn't even find the book I was originally looking for.)
So, I loved this book so much. It took me no time at all to read. It was so interesting, and I loved the little bits of romance between the main character and one of the Hawthorne boys. It was just such an amazing book, and I'm so excited for the third on coming out later this year!!
6. The Hawthorne Legacy: written by Jennifer Lynn Barnes- finished March 20th
Obviously when I went to Barnes and Noble I bought the second book in The Inheritance Games series.
And obviously this one was just as good as the first one. Seriously. The main characters, the plot....I highly recommend if you're looking for a good read!
7. Better Than The Movies: written by Lynn Painter- finished March 25th
This is the book I originally went to B&N to look for. My dad ended up ordering it for me and it came in the mail when I was reading The Hawthorne Legacy.
I heard about this book from Haley Pham, and she talked about how much she loved it and how much everyone needed to read it. So of course I had to read it!
This is a romance, and I often do not like romances. There are many reasons why...you can probably guess why tbh.
It's hard to find the right romance book. I like romance books that have a little romance; ya know, where people that are too young don't bring things too far.
When I read books that get uncomfortable, I don't like them automatically.
But, Better Than The Movies was one of the best romance books I have ever read! It was an enemies-to-lovers trope, and it was really interesting! I liked it a lot, and it was a clean book so that was amazing.
8. All Your Twisted Secrets: written by Diana Urban- finished March 31st
This book almost didn't make my wrap-up list for March because on March 30th I looked at that book, and I had like 100 pages left. And I thought there was no way I was going to finish it before March ended because I have literally not that much time during the school week at all.
But, funny enough, I finished it. I almost finished it in Spanish class because my teacher was having us write an essay in Spanish, and I had finished it the day before so I didn't have anything to do. And she let the class work on the essays the whole class period, so I sat there and read for like an hour and thirty minutes.
I got really close to finishing the book in class. I had only like forty pages left, so I ended up finishing it at home later that night.
Ummm....so that was my ambitious day of reading lol.
Now the question is...did I like this book? Well, considering the fact that R.L. Stine liked this book, I thought for sure that I was going to like it. And, I did like it, don't get me wrong, but I didn't like it that much. The whole story was really well thought out and good, but it wasn't as fast paced as I would have wanted it to be. I still recommend it though!
And that's going to wrap up every book I read in March. I had some really great reads this past month, and I hope you'll go check some of these books out!
My favorite book I read this month was most definitely The Inheritance Games. There's nothing else to say about it. I love The Inheritance Games!
Thanks for reading my March reading wrap-up! You should come back at the end of the month to see what I read in April. And, you should check out my short story series going on right now by clicking this link: https://miribrooks1.wixsite.com/quoted/my-blog/categories/series
