every movie I watched in 2022 and what I think about them (part one)

Okay, I'm really excited about this post. I decided to document every movie I watched in 2022, and now I'm going to share them with you and give a review for each one. I have no idea if this will be a long or short list, so this might end up being several parts, or just one part. Either way, I hope you like this and consider checking out some of these movies!!

1. Spider-Man No Way Home

If you have not already seen this movie, or any of the other Spider-Man movies, then you should go watch them. This is by far probably one of the best because all three Spider-Men are in it. I just love this movie. So. Much. And I give it 10/10 stars!

2. Ghostbusters Afterlife

Next we have Ghostbusters Afterlife. I have to admit, I've never really been a Ghostbusters fan. I mean, I've probably watched at least one of the movies before, but I don't really like scary movies, and even though Ghostbusters isn't all that scary, in my opinion, I just never really wanted to watch it.

But then Mckenna Grace came out with a song called Haunted House. And I listened to the song and became obsessed with it. And then I found out that Mckenna Grace is in Ghostbusters Afterlife. So, I decided that I wanted to watch it.

Not only was this movie amazing, but one of my favorite part's was hearing Haunted House, one of my new favorite songs, at the end of the movie. So, I give this movie a 10/10 as well. (:

3. Tall Girl 2

When Tall Girl first came out on Netflix, I wanted to watch it because one of my favorite singers, Sabrina Carpenter, was in it. And, finally, Tall Girl 2 came out. It was very good, but I feel like the first movie was probably better. Does this movie have two of my favorite people in it? Yes, Griffin Gluck and Sabrina Carpenter. But, is Tall Girl better than Tall Girl 2? Kind of yeah.

I'm giving this movie 8/10 stars!

4. Uncharted

The next movie I watched in 2022 was Uncharted. I may have only watched this because Tom Holland was in it, but I also discovered that Rudy Pankow was in it, and he played my favorite character in Outer Banks.

Anyway, I loved this movie so much. Never played the video game, but the movie. It gets a 10/10 from me. Can't wait to see if there is a sequel in the future!

5. Status Update

So this movie was one I found on Amazon Prime, and I started watching it because Disney Plus wasn't working one day. It's just one of those predictable, cheesy romance movies. If I had to rate this movie, I'd probably give it like a 6/10.

6. Troop Zero

You can probably guess why I watched this movie...because Mckenna Grace is in it. Haha...this one was also on Amazon Prime. And, I actually did not think I would like it at first because the just overall idea of what the movie was about didn't seem all that interesting to me. But, I actually ended up really enjoying it. So I think I'm going to give it a 9/10. It was a really cute movie!!

7. Moonshot

At number seven, we have Moonshot. I saw the advertisement for this on YouTube and I thought it looked really interesting. Plus, I've watched To All The Boys I've Loved Before and Lana Condor is a really good actress. And, I thought my brother would want to watch this with me because he is obsessed with The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Cole Sprouse is in this movie, but he did not. So, I watched it by myself.

It was good. In my opinion, it wasn't amazing. Like, I've watched better movies, but it was good. I think I'll give it a 7.5/10.

8. Gifted

Next we have Gifted. I love this movie so incredibly much. It was even better than Troop Zero. This is probably one of my favorite movies with Mckenna Grace. It was adorable, but also sad. And, I enjoyed watching it.

9. Along For The Ride

This is one of the cutest romance movies I've ever seen!!

So, this came out on Netflix at the beginning of May, and several weeks before it came out, I watched the trailer and became obsessed. Later, when it was actually out, I learned that this movie is based on the book Along For The Ride by Sarah Dessen.

Now, I used to read Sarah Dessen's books. I think she's like the og author for anyone to read in like middle school. Idk, I just feel like everyone has read at least one of her books before.

I don't remember reading this particular book by Sarah Dessen, but I do remember reading others by her and loving them.

Usually when I learn a movie or show based on a book is coming out, I try to read the book before I watch the movie/show because the book is always the most original.

But....in this case I was ready to watch the movie so I went for it.

And, honestly, after looking up the book on Common Sense Media and watching the movie, I think the movie was better than the book. Or, I think it would be better than the book. Just because of certain things that are in the book and not in the movie. Anyway...

I absolutely loved watching this movie! It was soooo cute and I enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend watching if you haven't already!

10. A Cinderella Story: Starstruck

Okay, I know what you're probably thinking..."Every Cinderella movie remake is awful."

Or, maybe you're not thinking that, but either way, I think this is my favorite Cinderella movie remake I have ever watched. And I haven't even seen all of them.

The only reason I even watched this movie was because my favorite actress Bailee Madison is in it. And, let me just say, I love this movie a lot.

It's funny, cute, and Bailee Madison is just such an amazing singer. If you haven't seen A Week Away, then you should go watch that as well. Bailee Madison has the best duet with Kevin Quinn in that movie.

So, please go watch this movie!! It's on Amazon Prime. And it's worth every second!!

So, I have decided to split this into two parts. Or three if needed...So, come back in a few days for part two!! ~Ella
