do you get deja vu when you do things you know you aren't supposed to?

Hey friends! Welcome to The Quoted Blog! Today I'm so excited to continue my new SOUR series. Every week there will be a new part to this series where I use a song title to write a blog post.

Do you get deja vu when you do things you know you aren't supposed to?

Let me explain what I mean by that question....When you do things you know you aren't supposed to, don't you think about other mistakes you might have made in your life as well?

Today I wanted to write about things we know we aren't supposed to do because we do those things a lot. It could be the smallest thing, like lying to your parents, or it could be a bigger thing, like breaking the law.

Either way, we all do things we know we aren't supposed to do because we are sinful humans. Thankfully God forgives us, and gives us a second chance, but it's still not okay to do things you know are not right.

One of my biggest pet peeves at the moment is when a student gets in trouble for being on their phone in class or something, and they talk back to the teacher instead of obeying. When that happens, the student gets mad at the teacher for getting mad at them, when it's the student's fault that they are in trouble in the first place because they did not listen to the teacher. (Sorry that's such a mouthful of a sentence.)

That just drives me crazy because kids think they're all smart and all standing up for themselves, but they're really just getting themselves into more trouble. (Don't get me wrong, you should always stand up for yourself. But, there's a difference between standing up for yourself because someone treated you wrong, and respecting an authority when you made a mistake and are in trouble for it.)

Another way we can do things wrong is drinking or smoking at a young age. I don't think anyone reading this does those things unless they are of age, but I'm not kidding when I write that I've heard people, my age, that say they smoke, just not too much or something.

There's a lot more bad things in this world than that, but I really hope by reading this blog post you can find ways to avoid situations where you feel tempted to do something or say something you know you shouldn't.

For one thing, doing something bad will never get you anywhere. Bad things, evil things, always lead you to even more bad and evil things. Bad never gets you anywhere. Just like the bad guy never wins. The hero always wins in the end. And good always wins in the end. (But it might not be like that in everyone's life, which is why I'm trying to write this blog post to convince you do good over bad.)

I will always stand for good because I know that it is so much better than choosing to curse people, and hate on people.

You know when YouTuber's talk about not wanting to read their comments because they don't want to see the hate? (Some YouTuber's have said that, but not all.)

I can't even read comments on YouTube anymore. I've had to make myself stop reading them because I see hate comments and it just makes me so sad. It's unbearable. I will never understand the point to hate comments. I will always wonder why people feel the need to bring others down. (I know why people feel the need to send hate comments. It's all got to do with sin and an imperfect world.)

Okay, ending off this kind of long blog post, I'm sharing some more quotes/Bible verses. Find ways to avoid evil and just be kind. Trust me, you won't regret it!!

-"With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." -Isaiah 12:3

-"But above all else, be kind. In a world that is so often dark, be a light others can look to when the sky is no longer blue." (AMEN)

-"If speaking kindly to plants helps them grow, imagine what speaking kindly to humans can do."

-"In a world where you can be anything, be kind."

-"At the end, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It's about what you've given back." -Denzel Washington

-Do you ever think God gets sad, like "what do you mean you don't love yourself? I worked so hard on you?"

-"Ah, kindness. What a simple way to tell another struggling soul that there is love to be found in this world."

-"Kindness begins with understanding we all struggle." -Charles Glassman

(There are so many good ones!)

And, with that being written, do so many good things that when you look back on your life, you'll have deja vu about the good things that you are repeating again and again. (I hope I used the word deja vu right lol) ~Ella
