Back-to-school part four

Well, the day has finally come. Today is pretty much my last day of this super long summer. Tomorrow is my first day of high school. I'm planning on doing a part two of my favorite music soon, but I have no idea when. Today, I just want to write about other things.

First, I want to look at an overview of my very long summer break!

Right before quarantine began, I had my birthday. My birthday was on March 9th, and I celebrated by going to Lauren Daigle's concert! I was very thankful to get to do that before quarantine, and everything was canceled. I loved it, and I want to go again some day. Lauren Daigle is a phenomenal singer, and I love all of her songs.

Over the summer, I really didn't do much. We did not go on any trips. I'm fine with that though because I'm not a huge fan of trips. I mostly stayed home this summer, but we did get Chicken Salad Chick a couple times which was good. It's hard to remember what we did.

I read a lot of books over the summer. I read 59 books beginning on March 3rd to today. I ended up finishing I think it was three Netflix shows this summer, and I had the opportunity to be on a podcast for the first time! In April I started this blog, and I continued working on writing Quoted. By the way, I finished writing my book, but I'm still editing it and fixing some things. I'll talk more on that subject at the very end of season 2 of God's Girls.

I watched a lot of YouTube this summer, but I still have like 500 videos in my watch list I'll probably never end up watching! I had a lot of days that were spend at home. Close to the end of March I made activity sheets to send to my friends. I also finished watching Soy Luna season one on Disney + this summer! I made a mini podcast for my friends, and read a lot of plans on the Bible app.

I have so many pages written in my journal about this summer, and it will definitely be memorable. Also, another thing I did was practice piano a lot and that was fun!

Now on to the most important part of this summer! I'm so thankful that we got this many months off of school, even though it was a hard time. So many people died from the coronavirus, and sicknesses. For me personally, I grew in God's Word and I learned a lot more about Him. I'm so grateful for this chance to take a break, slow down, and learn more about God. I am aware of the coronavirus though, and I have not forgotten how hard it has been for the world. I'm keeping everyone in my prayers.

My prayer: Dear God, thank you for this summer. It was super long, and for a lot of people it was super hard. We had several storms closer to April, and I was so scared, but I just want to thank you for reminding me to trust in you through everything. I was scared to death when it was hailing really hard one day, but I was able to write in my book about it! Anyway, I owe everything to you God because I literally could not have gotten through all of these months without You and Your Word. I pray for everyone in this whole world. I pray for those who died from the coronavirus, and that they are with you right now, and they're rejoicing because they're healthy! I also want to pray for my Pops. I'm very sad he had to die alone, and we didn't get to say goodbye. Even though I didn't know him well, I know he was a very funny and incredible person! I pray he is with you right now, and is very happy! Thank you thank you thank you for everything! I pray for this school year, and for everyone to stay happy and healthy. Things are different, but we can get through anything with You by our side. Thank you Lord! ~Ella

Hebrews 12:1-2: Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
