every book I read in October 📖

Heyyyyyyy! Welcome back to my blog! Today I'm here to share every book I read in October!

1. The Paris Apartment: by Lucy Foley- finished October 1st

⭐⭐

I started off the month finishing The Paris Apartment. I had this book on my tbr cart for a while, and I thought it was finally time to give it a chance.

Honestly, it was really difficult to get through this book. I just didn't enjoy it. I was kinda bored, and I just didn't really care about anything that was happening.

This is one of those books that I was so bored of that I literally skimmed through the last thirty pages because I didn't want to sit there and comprehend what was happening anymore.

Take what you will from that. (:

2. A Study in Drowning: by Ava Reid- finished October 7th

⭐⭐⭐

Next I picked up Ava Reid's new book. This isn't her debut novel, but it's my first one that I've read by her.

The main reason I read this book was because I'm obsessed with the cover, and the title + description just sounded so interesting.

Overall, my favorite part of this book was purely the vibes. I just really like this world and that's all I really cared about.

I thought the story was interesting, but also a little pointless. I don't know. I honestly wasn't obsessed with this book, but I would recommend it!

3. I Know Who You Are: by Alice Feeney- finished October 9th

⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've been trying to get through all of Alice Feeney's thriller lately, so when I went to the library I picked up I Know Who You Are.

I actually really enjoyed this book, and I love how Alice Feeney always seems to surprise me with her books and their endings. That's what I love about her writing!

I recommend this book! But also know it's a little twisted...

4. Secrets Never Die: by Vincent Ralph- finished October14th

⭐⭐⭐

Next I picked up Vincent Ralph's third book. I've read his other two books, and Lock The Doors is my favorite.

Anyway, I was really excited to read this, but it honestly was not what I expected. The mystery part was kinda boring, and the story was mainly about found family. It just felt like less of a thriller and more of a "let's all bond as a family" type of book.

So far it's my least favorite by Vincent Ralph, but I would recommend it. It also felt like he was copying April Henry and trying to blend in with the world by adding gay characters.

That wasn't very cool.

But, it's good. Just kinda long. Very interesting though.

5. Do Not Disturb: by Freida McFadden- finished October 17th

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ever since I read The Housemaid, I've been trying to make my way through Freida's backlist, so I started off with Do Not Disturb.

It's very interesting and I definitely was not expecting the ending.

Overall I really enjoyed it!

6. Good Bad Girl: by Alice Feeney- finished October 21st

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Next I read another Alice Feeney book! I'm also slowing going through her backlist, and so far I have only one book left to read. As crazy and unexpected as they are, I love Alice Feeney's books and I think her writing is just so good.

Sometimes she has the best quotes and writes words that really make me think.

7. Never Lie: by Freida McFadden- finished October 24th

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Never Lie is a thriller that has to do with a psychologist that was murdered, and a couple thinking about buying her old house. It's a very interesting story, and like most of her books, I had no idea how it was going to end.

I definitely recommend this one!

8. A Curse for True Love: by Stephanie Garber- finished October 29th

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've heard several people say that they were disappointed by this book for certain reasons, but I honestly was just ready to get back into the world and read from Jacks POV again. I love this trilogy, along with the whole Caraval world. Anything Stephanie Garber writes I will read.

📖📚📖

That was everything I read last month! I read some really good books, but I think my favorite one was probably A Curse for True Love.

Thanks for checking out today's blog! Come back at the end of the month to see what I read in November! (And stayed tuned because my next book is coming so soon!) ~Ella
