As you all already know...today is Valentine's Day! I was thinking about what to write about, and I thought...haha...why not do a V-day related post?! I don't really do anything for Valentine's Day. It's not a super big holiday for me, but I do think it's important to read this blog post and see what is important in regards to V-day!
One of my favorite songs is Love For Me by Annie Rose, and fun fact: she came out with this song around Valentine's Day last year. This song is so inspiring, and just a good reminder to love yourself!
If you haven't already listened to her song, "Hello?" Go listen!

This song is all about loving yourself, and to me, Valentine's Day is all about loving yourself too. I know some people might think of Valentine's Day as being for boyfriend's and girlfriends, but hey! I'm a single pringle. (; SO, when I think of V-Day, I think of showing love to others, and ourselves. Someone in my class today at school pointed out that we should being showing love to one another every day. We shouldn't just reserve one day to being kind and loving to others. BUT, since we are here, talking about love, that's today's topic.
Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this, while we were still sinners Christ died for us." I love that verse because it reminds us that God sent His son to die for us. It's so important to remember that, as we all should know by now.
So, if we're going to spend our Valentine's Day the right way, it's going to be showing love. Now, that doesn't mean to forget about yourself. While you can spend your V-Day showing family and friends just how much you love them, this V-Day, I also want you to show love to yourself.
I have a challenge for the 2-8 or so readers here...Today, or tonight, I want you to do something for yourself. It could be using a bath bomb in the bath, shaving your legs lol, putting on a face mask...etc. Do something for yourself!
I think we should always remember to take time for ourselves, while also taking time for Jesus. I believe this Valentine's Day is our chance to love ourselves, and be thankful for who God created us to be. You are so worthy. You are so loved. And I'm so thankful for you!
