Today I'm going to share a note that Hannah Grace wrote on the Bible app. If you don't remember who she is, she also wrote this post on my blog: https://miribrooks1.wixsite.com/quoted/post/paul-s-secret-revealed
"I have a sweet little mini pig named Minnie that I got this May. Once I got Minnie in May, I produced a type of parental love for her. This is like no other love that I have ever felt. I desire nothing more than for her to be taken care of and feel loved even if she doesn't want to love back.
Since Louisiana is about to have a crazy hurricane, I wanted to protect Minnie from the storm and take her out of her pen and under shelter in our back porch. I tried for nearly two hours to pick her up and walk with her in my arms up a hill to go across my yard. She has grown to be much bigger, so I couldn't pick her up on my own. She refused, squealed, and did everything she could to not let me pick her up because she was unaware of my amazing plan for her and didn't trust me.
It took time, patience, and constant love to accomplish this. God used this situation to remind me of how we act towards God and how He responds as our loving Heavenly Father. He loves us so incredibly much and wants the best for us. Sometimes we kick and scream because what He has to offer us doesn't seem good enough to even compare to where we are now because we feel "comfortable." But God calls us to surrender and take risks because He gives us something unbelievably better. I knew what was better for Minnie, but she didn't understand. God serves us through guiding us to somewhere better than life, so that we can serve Him. We don't understand at first how He is working, but it will be evident according to His timing and indescribable love for us. He is patient with us because He loves us dearly.
I have recently felt the Lord calling me to leave my comfort at my Christian school and attend a public high school. He fueled a passion in me to shine His light there and make disciples of all nations. Going to this new school was one of those things I was doubting where He was leading. It took surrender and bravery, but He has been bringing me through it. There has been nothing more rewarding surrendering my life to Him. I am in discomfort there, but all I have is Jesus right now. I have walked out of school everyday so filled up from being there because I have been experiencing the Lord working in everything. Surrendering my life was terrifying, but I have never felt more rewarded in my life. He has seriously been so good in this whole journey and so faithful!" ~Hannah Grace
Oh my goodness! Thanks for letting me make this into a blog post HG! I really love that you shared this with everyone. God calls us to do so many things, and He waits patiently for us to find Him, and share His Word. Sometimes we have to go out of our comfort zones to follow the call God has placed in our lives! ~Ella
