When we read from the Bible of Jesus before he died on the cross, we often are reminded of how kind he was. Jesus healed many people, and preached God's Word to many.
Today, there is hatred and evil and sin all around us every day. It's often quite sad how much there really is. But, in the midst of all of that sin, there's joy. There's a constant reminder that everything is going to be okay. Sin won't rule the world forever. Sin is just not capable of ruling forever.
Look around you. How many times did you hear someone take the Lord's name in vain today, or hear someone listening to bad music? How much hatred, evil, and sin have you witnessed?
Often times, I wonder what I would do without God. When I think about it, I realize I wouldn't know where to begin if I didn't have God. I love God, and I'm so thankful to have a Creator that cares so much about love. A Creator that cares so much about us.
Sometimes it's hard to drown out the sin in this world with love. It can be done, though. When you're feeling hatred, or holding grudges towards someone, you can choose another path. You don't have to stay buried in sin. You can let God take over. You can trust in Him.
Encouragement is important to me because everyone deserves to be reminded that they are loved. We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
I think it's always important to choose the encouraging, and uplifting way through each situation you go through. It's very important to remind people of God's love. Sometimes, we may not outright tell someone God loves them, but we can remind them they are loved.
Have you ever gotten a compliment from someone? How did it make you feel?
Lifting one another up is so so important! Jesus came to this Earth and led such a great example, and even though we will never be perfect, we can still DO something. We don't have to sit around and wait for other people to change the world.
You wanna make a change in this world? You can do something right now. You can lift others up. You can choose to love. You can choose to forgive. You can start a kindness project, and stick with it. You can start a podcast, and encourage others through it. You can find a way to change the world, one way at a time. It doesn't have to be a grand gesture. You can start small, and start encouraging more and more people every day.
To help give a better understanding of what I mean, I'm going to write a couple names of people who inspire me to be a better person, and write why I would say that.
1. Alexa (aka my bff)- Alexa inspires me by her love for God. I love when we spend time together, and end up talking for hours about the most amazing things. One thing I remember from a conversation we had one time is, "Always pay attention to who is speaking to you. God, or the devil."
2. Hannah Grace (aka my bff)- Hannah Grace inspires me because she's always speaking the truth of God's Word. Every time I think of our friendship, I think of how encouraging she is through each and every thing.
3. Annie Rose- Annie Rose is a YouTuber and Songwriter. I find her an inspiration to me through not only just her songs, but also her YouTube channel. I love watching her videos, and I always feel encouraged by how she sheds a positive light on everyone.
4. Emma Mae Jenkins- I can not express in words how much Emma's books and podcasts and YouTube videos have impacted me! Lol, I always feel so encouraged when I read and listen to what she has to say. She speaks from the heart, and is so inspirational.
Those are just examples of some people who have helped encourage me, and inspire me to follow Jesus, and trust God daily. There are so many more people, and this would be a VERY long blog post if I listed them all!
Be encouraged today. You are loved, beautiful, and just the way you need to be. God loves you for you. He will always be with you, and I want you to always remember that.
Let's make today a day of encouragement and kindness! I challenge you today, do a random act of kindness. Go do something you wouldn't normally do. Go out of your way in kindness, and if you could, email me about what you did. Email me at guineapigfuzz@gmail.com and tell me about your random act of kindness. How can you help others and encourage others? What would Jesus do?
If I get several responses I'll make another blog post about kindness, and share your random acts of kindness. But for now, go be an encouragement and share God's love with all! I love you, and you're amazing! Have a great day! ~Ella
