Don't Waste the Waiting

Psalm 90:12 says, "Teach us to number each of our days so that we may grow in wisdom."

How many times have you felt that God wasn't doing anything in your life, and that you didn't have a purpose? I'm sure all of us at some point have felt like God wasn't doing anything in our lives, and that we were alone. But don't waste the waiting. God is always working and doing things in our lives, even though sometimes it feels like He is doing nothing.

In Sadie's book, Live, she wrote about a man that came to her in a coffee shop, and asked her about what God was doing in her life. Sadie then goes on to explain what she told the man, and what happened next.

That was in the chapter of her book called "Don't Waste The Waiting."

Sometimes it feels like we are stuck in a ditch, or stuck in a situation where nothing is happening. It might feel like God isn't doing anything, and we might feel like we don't have anything to do. Like I wrote above, God will always be working in your life even when it seems like He is not. Sometimes, we are in a time of waiting. Waiting for God to work in our lives, and do what He does best.

What's so important when we're in a time of waiting is to not waste it. Don't waste the waiting. When you feel like you have no purpose, give yourself a purpose because you can do anything through Christ who gives you strength (Philippians 4:13). There's never a time when you don't have a chance to spread God's Word, and share His glory.

Take that with you today! Don't waste the waiting, and let God work in your life. It's all in His timing. ~Ella
